Yeah we slept through the presentation lol. We caught most the stuff that mattered though. LIKE CARMACK!

There's probably Youtube videos.

OH! And we found the people of Dallas! Still not that many though. Couldn't write blog last night because our internet expired.

Dude, I saw TWO people propose to their girlfriends on the Quakecon stream. Were you guys around for that? It was on the main stage. =w=

Who won the Quake Live tournament? I had to go when it was 2-1 for Evil but just assumed he would win judging from how the games were going.

Yes we were around for that. There were a disturbing number of people booing that.

And at the 2-1 point for evil, it did seem like he was going to win, but Rapha managed to pull it together and win the series. One thing that wasn't very clear was that the first game of the series was played previously.

@Colby: To me, it seemed like they were booing because the guy basically got a free "car ticket" (which I think was a raffle ticket?). I wonder what would have happened if someone else actually had a Ring Pop.
@Socks: Both girls said 'yes'! With the first couple, the ring wouldn't fit on the girl's hand, haha.

Oh, damn! Get it, Rapha. Would you recommend watching the rest of the final? Were they good games?

Yeah! There was actually a 3rd proposal too the day before, lol. God.

I would! the last game is sort of... well. It's clear who's going to win early on, let's just say that. Furious Heights I think was the best map though.

It was a good time, but I'm glad to be home. Damn it's so cold here!

I don't know if that's quite it. It had a feel similar to YouTube comments, where people think their opinion is golden and must be shared.

Also, grab the demos while they're available (I'll grab as many as I can starting from the top):

Edit: Found a tool to grab all of them.

Oh jeez, seeing pictures of the JFK assassination site makes me uncomfortable. Neat.

Is there a way to avoid the lineup of the BYOC? Some sort of premium ticket option?

If you paid for and selected a seat in advance, it looked like you could simply wait until the next day to set up your computer at the BYOC, at which point there would be far fewer people ahead of you.

id Software is screwed. I'm really glad we managed to make it to QuakeCon when we did.
